Today we’re off to the Claris Hotel & Spa 5*GL, a former 19th-century palace that was turned into a hotel in 1992 conserving its original façade. On the roof is a restaurant, La Terraza del Claris, a haven of peace in the heart of Barcelona, a stone’s throw from Passeig de Gràcia.

With a range of regional, seasonal produce, bread and pastries straight from the oven, fresh fruit, cured meats, local cheeses, honey and mató (cottage cheese), you’re bound to find just what you fancy. Oysters, quinoa salad and sushi make breakfast into a brunch.
