Serge Ibaka will be interviewed tonight by Spanish showman Pablo Motos in his family TV show “Hormiguero 3.0” (Ant’s Nest 3.0). Before traveling to Madrid, the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder player spent a few days in Barcelona staying at the Claris Hotel. The runner-up in the Olympics with the Spanish basketball team is a big fan of Barcelona and a regular customer of Derby Hotels Collection. Used to big hotels very similar to each other, he confesses that the Claris Hotel wondered him with an elegance that does not end at the facade, but can be felt in every corner of the hotel.

Ibaka still relives the experience at the Olympics this summer. Among his fondest memories stands out the coexistence of the athletes and the extraordinary performance of the Spanish team in the final match, an example of the ability of the European basketball to stand up to the American selection.

He confesses to be a Barcelona lover and describes it as a city that has the right size: there’s always something going on, there is much to see and enjoy, but it is possible to live without the frantic pace of some of the biggest American cities. He admitted that, in the future, he plans to take up residence in this city where he has friends and feels very comfortable. Used to traveling, always between Spain and the U.S., Ibaka has no problem finding a place to train in any city, he only requires a basket and a court.
