El edificio del Hotel Banke y su imponente fachada se remontan a principios del siglo xx y fue uno de los primeros que se construyeron en la calle Pillet-Will. Obra de los arquitectos Paul Friesse y Cassien Bernard fue antigua sede de un importante banco. El amplio espacio del hall, cerrado por una cristalera instalada a 19 metros del suelo, conserva alrededor de un gran mosaico los antiguos mostradores del banco tras los cuales se halla, hoy día, el bar y el restaurante del hotel.
