A good location if you want to see much more places of Barcelona. Not so close to the noisy center, but its a pleasant trip with all the transports if you want to see the city. Nice and safe neighborhood. A park next to the hotel. A 2 minutes walk to the main road and a 3-5 minutes walk to the bus stop. Rooms are clean with a very good room service watching our needs. We loved the breakfast. The staff was helpful

Last year we stayed at Derby Hotel. The hotel is very clean and quiet. People in front were very friendly and helpful. There is a coffee place next to the hotel and a restaurant across where we had delicious dinners. If we go back to Barcelona, we will stay at Derby Hotel. Since we stayed there before and after our Mediterranean cruise, we got back to the hotel early in the morning and they gave us a room as soon as we got there.

“Perfectly Pleasant”
Very good value hotel, with clean rooms and everything necessary for a nice trip. Especially if you're keeping to a budget and don't need utter luxury, this is a great choice. We didn't eat breakfast, so can't
comment. Location is great, it will take roughly 45 mins to walk into the Barri Gotic, but I think public transport is good (we choose to walk it). The tourist bus stops right outside and you can hop on the route to see the main sites. The area is full of upmarket shops and nice restaurants. We didn't actually eat out in the old town, but many restaurants there looked like real tourist traps, whereas the area round the hotel is less touristy. The little taberna opposite was especially friendly despite our lack of any real Spanish and their lack of English we really enjoyed a few pre-dinner drinks there. A good choice for a nice stay in Barcelona.
