We stayed in this hotel December 24th and 25th and had an excellent experience. We got there around 8 am after an overnight flight from NYC. We were told there would be a room available in about an hour, and so they held our bags while we walked around and had breakfast. The room was incredibly quiet on the 3rd floor (facing the street), very clean and the staff was great. It's about a 15 minute walk to Sagrada Familia and a very easy subway ride (or longer walk) to the old part of the city - the subway is just a few blcoks away and easy to navigate). The staff was very helpful with directions and maps and very gracious. We had no issues with this hotel. The price was great as I don't think there were many people there at this time (but check prices as it greatly increased when I checked to see if we could book a room on January 2nd) It was a great place to land after flying into Barcelona on Christmas Eve.

We've recently spent three nights at this lovely hotel and we must say that it totally exceeded our expectations. The hotel is absolutely fashionable and located in a quiet central street, not far from main sightseeing. We got a very attractive rate for a standard double room directly through the hotel website, but once at the hotel we were happy to accept a special offer they made for an upgrade to a duplex suite. This room, with huge terrace and private plunge pool, was absolutely marvelous. Breakfast is not included but we got a 2X1 deal, this way we got our buffet breakfast for only € 17 for the two of us, which is really cheap for this type of breakfast. The room was spotlessly cleaned every morning with turn down service every evening. Staff is very friendly and helpful, at reception we got excellent restaurant recommendations. We'd love to come back to the Granados83 for our next visit to Barcelona and we will definitely recommend this place to our friends.

My husband and I visited Spain and stayed in Derby hotels in Madrid and Barcelona and were incredibly happy with our choice. Granados 83 is very cool and modern. The rooms are spacious and appear to be newly renovated. The bathrooms are also very modern, spacious and clean. There is a nice rooftop bar and swimming pool here at this hotel, which also have a great ambience. The location is great with 3 of the Gaudi sites within a short walking distance. Public transportation is also very easy, the hotel is within a short walk (5 minutes) of the commuter rail line, the Metro, and a 7 minute walk to the RENFE. The best part of this hotel, really, is the staff. They helped us each morning plan our site-seeing route, gave us lots of dining recommendations, and made reservations for us as needed. They were so kind and eager to help. The one quirk is that they don't provide an iron upon request, instead they ask you to use their laundry service which can become quite costly. No big deal, we just were a little wrinkled while we stayed there. We most definitely will stay here if we travel back to Barcelona.

“The Best Customer Service - All Around Great Experience”:
Choosing accommodation on the internet is exhausting because of the number of directories, Last minute sites and local area tourist promotional sites. I usually start with Google Maps and settle on a location first then try to narrow down the choices by using links to customer comments. I always Book Direct with the property to receive the best rate and also give my business to the property free of third party commissions. Most properties nowadays have a comprehensive website that offers direct booking links.
We chose this wonderful hotel after reading other guest comments on Trip Advisor and all I can say is we were not disappointed.
My wife and I have been selling accommodation in Australia for 25 years and we always pick places to stay when we travel that will give us an insight into to what other successful properties are doing to attract customers.
I was very impressed with the follow up email asking if we had any special needs which was perfect as my wife is a allergic to gluten and can't eat wheat flour. We mentioned this in our email reply as we had picked a tariff that included breakfast.
The choice of Gluten free pastry and bread was amazing and they also had purchased a packet of Gluten free cereal. We were made to feel so special in a very professional way.
The overall presentation of the hotel is unique and very clean. Classy in a very modern way. A true gem in Barcelona and we would recommend this property to other travellers to try.
