The perfect place to stay is Hotel Urban, based at the very heart of Spain’s capital Golden Triangle of Art.

Author: Derby Hotels Collection

Many will know Le Corbusier only because of the chaise lounge, cubic sofas and other of his furniture classics that can cost up to 5 figures, but he was of course not just the father of modern architecture, but also an interior designer, urban planner, photographer, writer and an artist.
Le Corbusier: An Atlas of Modern Landscapes, an exhibition that opened this June in art gallery CaixaForum-Madrid is a must for architecture and planning aficionados.
The retrospective focuses on the different places, buildings and landscapes Le Corbusier visited and imagined throughout his life and career, and how he translated observation into artistic renderings and inspiration for his work. Paintings, sketches, photos, audio, films, models and five reconstructed interiors draw you into this universe.

Count art to go to sleep
Just ten minutes walking distance from the CaixaForum-Madrid art gallery, a postmodern industrial building that blends seamlessly in amongst Madrid’s old town, you find Hotel Urban. A boutique hotel just right in the middle of Spain’s capital Golden Triangle of Art formed by the Prado Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Fundación Reina Sofia.
With a swimming pool under the blue sky by day, an exclusive space under the moonlight by night, a spectacular outdoor terrace connected to the heart of the city and an avant-garde architecture, Hotel Urban is a winner for its location.

Madrid’s best views with tapas

The Urban Hotel Europa Decó restaurant and Glass Bar (Cocktails, Oyster-Bar & Tapas) are considered one of the biggest gastronomic attractions of the city.

In this summer’s terrace of Hotel Urban, you can experience a new variety of Tequila cocktails. In total 27 new cocktails and as it is read in the menu, a new world to discover. Whilst some tapas not to be missed are salmorejo, piquillos crujientes, premium Spanish ham, mini gourmet hamburgers and hot dogs, salmon Mi-cuit, makis, naguiris, the oysters and home made sweet delicacies.
