On 23 September, Mayan Secret Spa organised a free session of the “Mayan Revival” ritual, in collaboration with the World Wellness Weekend.
This event, celebrated in over 70 countries, promotes wellness via thousands of activities held in gyms, spas and beauty centres and may be enjoyed alone or with a group of friends or family.
This year, as part of the World Wellness Weekend, Mayan Secret Spa invited a group of people to enjoy one of its most exclusive rituals.
THE POWER TO REINVENT ONESELF
The Mayan Revival ritual is a Spiritual Healing ceremony led by a Temazcaltzin or Shaman who, through the purification of body and spirit, gives you the opportunity to reinvent yourself. This ritual takes place inside the Temazcal, a Pre-Hispanic sauna of artisan construction, a tradition of the Mayan Culture.
The mystical experience begins within the Temazcal, which simulates Mother Earth’s womb, where the Shaman will guide you through different gates, representing different stages of your life. Through chants, aromatic herbs steam, the production of sweat, acknowledgements and reflections, you will be able to connect with your innermost self and begin a new cycle in your life.
