Live music and a new chill-out zone create the perfect atmosphere for summer evenings at the Claris

La Terraza del Claris, one of the first to welcome the summer to Barcelona, is once again celebrating the arrival of the new season, with businesspeople, politicians and other figures from Barcelona culture and society. This year there’s a plus—along with the live music, patrons can enjoy the new chill-out zone.

This new space at La Terraza del Claris features the latest in outdoor decor and will be enveloped by the sounds of Brazilian bossa nova and real jazz in the purest New-York style, every evening, Tuesday to Saturday. The performances, which go until midnight, will give way to more contemporary sounds until 2 am.

After seventeen years, La Terraza del Claris has become the place for summer night owls in Barcelona, and the best place for foodies too. At La Terraza del Claris you can have a quiet lunch by the pool, or enjoy the long summer nights over a light dinner or cocktails. And, for those looking for something special, there’s a glass-walled restaurant, East Garden, a pleasant, private place, for just 24 guests.

From June to the end of the season, both spaces offer menus of food, drinks and cocktails designed to refresh the best summer moments. From 1.00 to 4.00 pm, La Terraza del Claris offers a set menu of light dishes for lunch in the sun, such as pâté terrine with pear salad; ham risotto and seasonal mushrooms; fresh fish of the day with tender shoots and vegetables; or duck magret with endives, orange and golden enoki mushrooms. For dessert, La Terraza del Claris proposes peach soup and yoghurt ice cream or panacotta vanilla and strawberry sundae.

From 6.00 pm to 2.00 am, La Terraza del Claris offers a nighttime bar and food service. Exclusive, elaborate dishes, such as Wagyu beef carpaccio with tomato and apple; European spider crab and tiger prawn rice; poached egg with violet potatoes and caviar; tuna belly fillet with courgette flowers and mango chutney; or veal tenderloin with creamed potatoes and morel mushrooms, to name but a few. Particularly tempting are the three types of farm caviar on offer: Iranian Beluga Imperial, Passion Persia Imperial, and Acipenser naccarii from the Vall d’Aran.

These dishes are complemented by an array of classic wines alongside some more daring choices in a selection that includes whites, reds and rosés. And to wet your whistle well into the night, La Terraza del Claris offers from the classic Bloody Mary or a mojito, to an exclusive selection of surprising Claris Fashion cocktails, such as the Golden, the Pink Rose, the Islan Tiki, the Ginger-Apple, or the Banke, amongst other innovative "hautes mixes".
