Located in the former "Palau dels Quatre Rius", it is in right in the heart of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, next to the most important tourist and cultural attractions in the city.
The building was the residence of several families of Catalan nobility and Manuela de Quijada Verdugo, a relative of the Marquis of Squillace, turned it into a palace. The building dates back to 1702 and is most notable for the original frescos on its façade, work of the master builder and that form part of the Architectural, historic and artistic heritage of the city.
It is given the name of Palau dels Quatre Rius (Palace of the Four Rivers) due to the allegoric representation of the Danube, Nile, Ganges and La Plata rivers, accompanied by the reproduction of the four seasons on the main façade.
The Arai Aparthotel has the Bar-Restaurant Palosanto, rooftop terrace with pool, gym and sauna, as well as 31 exclusive studios with their own fully equipped kitchenette.
