It is a unique building that was built in the early 80s and has recently been refurbished. It was built in the classic style of the building in London in terms of both its design and the material used in its brick and stone façade. A team from Galicia - home to the true experts in the trade - that specialised in building brick walls was employed for the elaborate relief and moulding work.
Worth noting is the fact that the Duplex room, a room on two levels with a lounge separate from the bedroom, was designed for the first time in the Spanish hotel trade at the Gran Derby Suite.
The interior patios of the building are designed as a greenhouse with large trees, and the main patio includes an outdoor pool surrounded by garden.
The Gran Derby Suite Hotel 4* has 43 rooms and suites, a terrace and outdoor pool, gym and sauna, meeting and function rooms and shares the Scotch Bar, The Times coffee shop and the Epsom restaurant with the Derby Hotel located just opposite.
