Madrid, 28 September 2026.

Hotel Urban 5*GL and Hotel Villa Real 5*, part of Derby Hotels Collection, are taking part in Madrid Otra Mirada, which will take place from 12 to 18 October, with the aim of bringing the city’s cultural heritage closer to residents and visitors.

Urban and Villa Real invite visitors to discover their art collections.

On 14 October, Hotel Urban 5*GL will offer a guided tour of its ethnological and tribal art collection from Papua New Guinea. Visitors will be able to discover jewellery, traditional clothing and ritual objects, as well as items from the Tambaran, the traditional “spirit houses”, including ceremonial chairs, totemic poles and ancestral figures.

Meanwhile, Hotel Villa Real 5* will open its doors on 15 October to showcase its collection of more than one hundred pieces of ancient art, including Roman mosaics dating from the 2nd to the 6th centuries AD, Roman sculptures and Apulian vases from Magna Graecia. The visit will offer an opportunity to discover this collection, displayed throughout the hotel’s various spaces in the heart of Madrid’s Literary Quarter.

Both visits will have a duration of 30 minutes, with a maximum capacity of 12 people per session and three available time slots: 4:00 pm, 4:45 pm and 5:30 pm.
