The Claris Terrace celebrates Barcelona after a crucial year for Derby Hotels Collection
The second phase of renovations to The Caesar hotel in London, and a new investment in Plaza Europa in Hospitalet, are shaping the company's future.
Its iconic terrace, open year-round, once again brought together representatives from Barcelona's business and social circles.

Barcelona, September 18, 2025; The Clos family celebrated their highly anticipated Claris Terrace party in Barcelona once again this year. The event brings together representatives from the Barcelona business community and society, along with institutions and authorities, to welcome the new season. This year has been crucial for Derby Hotels Collection due to the complete renovation of The Caesar Hotel in London, an investment of £18 million (€20 million). Furthermore, the company is reinforcing its commitment to Plaza Europa in Hospitalet de Llobregat with a new aparthotel, the project for which will begin in the coming months. The company considers the area strategic due to its proximity to the Fira de Barcelona trade fair and its connections to Sitges, Gavà, and Castelldefels.
During the season's party, the Claris Terrace was attended by the Clos family, along with the Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni; councilors Albert Batlle, Jordi Valls, Daniel Sirera, and Jordi Martí; Mateu Hernández, General Director of Turisme de Barcelona, Cristina Lagé, General Director of Turisme de Catalunya, Arantxa Calvera, director of the Catalan Tourism Agency, Xavier Font, deputy director general of Territorial Tourism Development of the Generalitat of Catalonia; José Antonio Donaire, Commissioner for Sustainable Tourism Management, along with Xavier Patón (Manager of the Department of Economy and Economic Promotion of the Barcelona City Council), Enric Jové (Councilor of the Chamber of Commerce), Xavier Carbonell (Manager of the Barcelona Promotion Foundation), Bob Puglielli of GSMA, and Joan Clos (former mayor of Barcelona), among other prominent figures from Barcelona society.
Barcelona's iconic rooftop bar, a pioneer in opening its doors to locals and visitors more than 30 years ago, transforms, as it does every year, into a social and leisure hub thanks to its elegant offering of gastronomy, art, and entertainment. Honest cuisine featuring fresh, local ingredients, unique cocktails, live music, and weekly magic shows are the highlights of this rooftop bar with its distinctly Barcelona spirit.
The Claris Hotel & Spa, located in the Vedruna Palace, houses a pre-Columbian art museum on its first floor. Open to the public, this space embodies the Derby Hotels Collection's appreciation for unique and singular works of art, and serves as a venue of excellence for hosting events, banquets, presentations, and conferences. The legacy that the Clos family bestows upon the city through the Claris Hotel positions it as a benchmark for international premium tourism in Barcelona.
